Our Story

Born from Fire, Built on Family

In 2010, Chef Amir Raza returned to Lahore after training in Istanbul and Kabul, carrying a vision: to create a restaurant where the open flame of Pakistani street BBQ meets the refinement of fine dining. With a single charcoal grill and his mother's karahi recipe, he opened a tiny spot on M.M. Alam Road.

Word spread quickly. Lahoris lined up for his seekh kabab — hand-minced, perfectly spiced, kissed by ember. Within two years, Ember & Spice had outgrown its first home and moved to a larger space in Gulberg, where it remains our flagship today.

Our second branch in DHA Phase 5 opened in 2019, bringing the same fire-driven cuisine to a new neighborhood with an even more intimate, upscale atmosphere.

Chef Amir Raza opens the first Ember & Spice with a single grill and a dream.

2012

Flagship Expansion

Moved to our current Gulberg location with a full tandoor and dine-in seating for 80.

2015

Smash Burger Launch

Introduced gourmet burgers to the menu — now our second most popular category.

2017

Lahore Food Awards

Won "Best BBQ Restaurant" at the Lahore Food & Hospitality Awards.

2019

DHA Phase 5 Opens

Second branch launches with an upscale dark-interior concept and exclusive menu items.
